I saw it on Friday - and I loved it! Like you said the Victorian setting gave a lovely background, but it was modern at the same time. Made me think of all that "steampunk" artwork. *g* They were like an old married couple but I think Holme's reaction to Watson's marriage and leaving the apartment was very understandable, because it looked like he needs somebody to give his day a certain ... structure. *g*
There are already some Holmes/Watson stories out there. I read a very lovely one at the Pornbattle IX. If I find the link, I'll send it to you.
