I love Face in this ep!!! Being the one who has to go into prison on his own free will. Who is beaten up and doesn’t reveal their secret. (I don’t really understand why he took the boots with the bug off before going there though)
Love the black tshirt and the shoulder holster!! Oh and of course in the beginning him playing volleyball with nothing on but his shorts!!
I think this ep shows that Murdock is truly in love with him. And wise versa. It’s just that Face won’t admit it to himself. Two scenes with them holding hands? Come on!! Well, Murdock holding Face’s, but he doesn’t pull away so fast either…the kisses on Face’s cheeks and the howling? How cute is that?! And that LOOK Murdock gives him!
And Murdock flies a really cool chopper!!! And I love how longish his hair is in this. Really suits him better when all those curls peak out from under that cap.
Don’t know what to think of Hannibal. His “Have I ever let you down?” Sounded a bit angry somehow. I’m getting the feeling, that he does love his boy but hides that beneath an almost cold manner. You can only see it in tiny glimpses, for example when he watches Face and Murdock howl and grins so broadly.
Frankie…he had way too much to do again. BA’s explosions, Face’s girl…him speaking Spanish … I wonder if ANY of the fans really liked him ever. I almost feel sorry for the actor who really is doing his best. A while back this would have been exactly my type, but he just isn’t! I wish him away from my original team. * sigh * But then, we probably wouldn’t have S5…and some more very cute Face moments…

Date: 2011-07-29 09:19 pm (UTC)Oh, I loved it! It was like an A-Team episode should be. In fact, if you got Frankie out of it, it would be damn near perfect!
Still don't understand why Frankie is even there! I mean I can see the role Stockwell plays, letting the guys steal Russian planes etc, I mean that would be hard if they were still in LA being hired by Joe Public, but Frankie???? Hmmm - no?!
Anyway, as much as I could rant about Frankie all day, my general strategy is just to ignore him completely, so that's what I will do now and head back to Face...
He was so cool, letting himself get caught like that, knowing what they would probably do to him. And so often in the A-Team, violence is slightly comical, never really threatening, but when those guys were beating and threatening him... it was actually... unpleasant.
And that guy said they had been working on him for some time and he hadn't said anything, poor Face. But of course he wouldn't say anything! My boys who always slag Face off in both movie/episodes couldn't even find anything to moan at him for.
Hannibal's 'Have I ever let you down?', yes it did sound a little snappy, I took that as he was offended that Face had moaned at him for being a bit tardy - hurt feelings and all that.
All in all, the best episode I have seen in a long while - think I might watch it again tomorrow!
(Oh and Face in only shorts... I need to make an icon from that!)

Date: 2011-07-31 09:11 pm (UTC)Hehe so glad you looked for my review on this and responded with your own thoughts! I need to watch this ep again too, because Face truely shows his soldier self in here. Did you understand the thing about the boots?
And did you notice, that, when he falls down with the chair in that torture room, his hands are loose suddenly? hehe ;)
I think I'll try and ignore Frankie from now on too.

Date: 2011-08-06 05:05 pm (UTC)I dislike Frankie only because it seems that his roll is a bit like Tawnia's and Amy's in the other seasons. It's like he really isn't needed but they had to add someone for asletic reasons or something.

Frankie is just...he suddenly does all the stuff the guys used to do and it somehow feels all wrong to me. But for one more season, which we wouldn't have without him (so I heard) I try to put up with him *sigh* I'd never pair him up with one of the others. He feels too off for me for that.
