I FINALLY SAW IT!!!! and I was afraid before putting it into the DVD player, that it might kill my Face!muse, but nooo it didn't!!! Could just be one of our dear Face's adventures, couldn't it`? And I only watched it 50% hot yet (dubbed lol) Totally LOVE IT!!! I have to watch it asap with his voice but some of the stuff was too complicted for me just now. HE'S AWESOME! and god I am too stupid at the moment to write a review and just babble...ooopsie---love the way they enhance his eyes when he's on the drug. And I think it's pretty thrilling. Didn't expect it to end good!!! I was like oh my god oh my god all the time, sitting on the edge of my seat. REALLY GOOD JOB BRADLEY!!!!!!!! more later, I think lol Oh and, as always recently, love the music!!!
So now is later lol Watched it with Brad's voice/voice over and I WANNA MEEEEELLLLLTTTT!!!!!! What a VOICE even speaking Chinese! ...This is certainly going to become one of my favouriet movies ever!
There is just one question (again). I am watching it with the director's commentary. WHY did they cut the sexscenes to achive PG13? The shooting, the BLOOD drinking was kept in...I will NEVER understand the rating, never. Plus the cut sex isn't even on my DVD Extras :(:(

:D :D :D Now I really can't wait to see it! Limitless will be premiered (finally) where I am in October so I've been avoiding watching it to see it first in theatre. For any foreign movies, in cinema or on DVD, we get them subbed 99.99% of the time - I'm so ready to see and hear him on big screen!
that it might kill my Face!muse
You seem to have those worries every time you see something new LOL but I understand why you do! ;)

Date: 2011-09-12 01:17 pm (UTC)I worry that I could loose my muse, because when I was deeply into RDJ Sherlock and Jude Watson, I suddenly saw the A-Team out of curiousity and I lost all my RDJudsie muses at once! It was scary!!!! And I seem not able to be a fan of several fandoms at once :(

Date: 2011-09-13 06:57 pm (UTC)Now I really get the reason why you worry... that *IS* scary! SO SCARY but also amazing at the same time, I think. All of a sudden you're all over new fandom, the excitement, the urging need for your new obsession... you don't even realise that you've forgotten to take care of other fandoms! Not exactly like you and Sherlock Holmes, but I think the same thing is happening to me right now... I have my (very small) fandom that I spent a half year to pimp, the one I thought I dedicate myself to, and just when I finally got the time to do creative thing for it I fell FAST and HARD for the A-Team it's not even funny! :/ I'm kind of neglecting the said fandom and it makes me feel so guilty, but I really cannot stop thinking about anything but the A-Team.
And I seem not able to be a fan of several fandoms at once :(
Me too :((( I so hope nothing new grab your attention for a long time and take you away from us!

Date: 2011-09-23 05:53 pm (UTC)I agree: the on-the-drug/enhanced eye thing was awesome. Also the lighting changes (kind of dull when he's normal, then highlighted/brighter when he's hopped up) were my favorite visual effects of the film. Oh! The spinning and wobbly camera effects are up there on the 'cool' list too.
As for the sex scene deletion vs. the blood drinking . . . that's the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America, of which a committee rates movies) for you. Their decisions border on arbitrary, but sex will ALWAYS get a higher rating than violence (and male frontal nudity will always get a higher rating than female frontal nudity, but that's a slightly different argument).
Wooo, United States! Bring on the violence, that's all good, but keep the sex-stuff on the down-low. (Please note the sarcasm.) That's the way it is here. It's stupid and ridiculous and I could go on for quite awhile about it. But I won't, because this is your place! :)
In a nutshell, I like the movie too, and was very happy to see that Brad.Cooper can hold his own with a stellar, veteran actor like Rob.DeNiro!

Date: 2011-09-23 06:53 pm (UTC)Now, mine never are really reviews but rather fanish squeeing lol but well...I do like De Niro too! But I NEVER saw slash in this! I wonder why?! Because Eddie is somehow a version of Face in my head or maybe I did see the chemistry between him and Lindy? (I can think hetero if the pairing is believable)
So, did he or did he not kill that modell??
Do you have any clue where on can find the director's cut? I was luckiy with the A-TEam, I had it on my DVD without even knowing there excisted an extended cut! Doesn't seem to be the case with this one :(
Re: Jumping in late
Date: 2011-09-23 08:07 pm (UTC)I've not read the book it's based on, but if my life slows down to a dull roar I'm going to try and pick it up. It's called "Dark Fields" by Alan Glynn.
I never saw slash between the two men either, but I don't typically see it unless it's blatant. (Don't tell anyone, but I see a heck less slash between the TV series A-Team vs. the movie A-Team!)
If you're interested (and don't mind not really getting answers +/- just getting more mad at the system), try and find the movie called "This Film Is Not Yet Rated." It's documentary-ish and deals with the arbitrary and out-dated ideas the MPAA committee has regarding what movie gets what rating, and why. It's very frustrating, and IMHO completely bizarre that they think violence is a-okay for people to see, but sex (shhh!) is not. The dreaded 'R' rating is, at least gaining some comeback and hasn't been carrying the stigma that it had with Hollywood producers/execs as much any more.
Re: Jumping in late
Date: 2011-09-25 07:59 pm (UTC)I do see slash VERY often. Almost everywhere. Gordon/Batman was obvious. And Christian Bale has made many more movies where I slashed his character with one of his male costars. Just not in Public Enemies. I was expecting slash between his c and Johnny Depp's but there was nothing there!
Then (for me) it was Sirius Black and Harry. yeah sorry lol Then there was RDJ's Holmes and Jude's Watson. I could really see before my inner eye how they were doing it lolol And immediately after those two I fell into the A-Team foursome fandom. My prefered couple for the movie is H/F because they oze it on screen. But I just can see how all for of them are such a tight family and love each other so much.
In the series it's Face/Murdock. The chemistry between the two is totally awesome. And Hannibal just loves each of his boys. But for my taste he really hurts Face sometimes with what he's saying. But in certain eps I do see them together as well. I can switch my brain to focus on several different pairings in this fandom. I could see Amy with the guys as well and I do like Sosa in the end of the movie ;)
ooops, got a bit carried away :D
