Man, I'm gunna have to start checking your person LJ too aren't I? You sneaky person, hiding these! That first one is pretty darn epic and the second one makes me want to go write things for Kyle, since it reminded me how much of a Badass he is in T1.

lolol I am not a sneaky person. *pout* I couldn't post those at Connor_Wright...maybe the first one but surely not the "only" adult Kyle one. It makes you want to write for him??? C O O L!!!!! *feeling very good about that*

The first one was requested from Allaire in an email and I wanted to try if I could fulfil her challenge. The second one was a bomus for her because you and I kept talking about Marcus and young Kyle and kinda left out the original Kyle for whom I actually remembered T1!! I am now pretty pissed with myself that I didn't pay attention when I bought the DVD and only have it dubbed in German.

Not as good when it's dubbed? Personally, I can't stand subtitles and would always go for dubs. Though I have watched some Spanish dubs of American movies that are just.. so, so bad. I mean, wow.

Also: Kyle has a mullet. I laugh at his mullet.

hehe please, nothing against a mullet, I love MacGyver's (see icon) so I have nothing against the slight one from Kyle. It just was the TIME for it in the eighties! People around me had them as well, so did I ;)

I can't stand subtitles either. I go for dubbed with DVDs when I watch something for the first time. Then I change to english. When I only have the english original, I only use the subtitles to get quotes right, even though I often realize, the subtitles are not identical with the exact words they are saying! I often walk around my house with my wireless headphones on, only LISTENING to the movie. That's a perfect way to learn a language, imo :D

Subtitles are *never* faithful to what's actually being said. My friends and I watch everything with the subtitles on (because some of us are stone-deaf in addition to blinder then a one-eyed bat..) and we laugh at the differences. They also make me miss what's going on because I'm reading, not looking for details.

I need Wireless headphones :( They're on my list of things to buy after I save up a few thousand dollars for grad school in Australia.

That's the same for me with the subtitles. When I have them on, I so get distracted from what's going on on screen. I really mostly use them when I need a quote and I compare what's being said, with the subtitles...
