Aber du wirst sehen, I cheated a bit ;)
hmmm, Gina, glad you like both of them too :D Maybe, one day, I WILL write that story about Dracula and Armand from which the plotbunny is hopping around in my head since a while...if writing wouldn't be such a exhausting thing to do!
hehe glad you like THAT particular pairing as well. But Dracula is so madly in love with Mina, that I have no clue how to get his mind around that...but then...Armand might like both gender...*frowning and thinking*...What do you think about threesomes? ;)
I personally love threesomes. I just think that they have a great dynamic. And considering that Armand is from the mind of Anne Rice he's DEFINETLY bisexual. And I'm not sure what the actresses name is but the woman that played Mina in "The League of Extrodinary Gentelman" would be my visual for this particular fic. For me Winona Ryder is a shite actress. But I really think that the 3 of them would be a beautiful pairing. Maybe Armand happens upon Carfax Abbey some how and he being as beautiful as he is neither Dracula nor Mina in spite of their love for each other are able to resist him. Just thinking out loud here.
hehe I am glad you know that Armand is Anne Rice's invention. My favourite book of her's is "the vampire Armand" anyway ;) If you are interested, here is the very first slash story I've ever written about Armand and his creator Marius. I just wasn't satisfied how Anne let them end their relationship.
Too bad you don't like Winona! Because I do like her a lot. I never heard of the other movie you mentioned. But Dracula and Armand meeting on Carfax Abbey ...hhmmm.....THANKS for thinking out loud....
Are you kiddin I LOVE Anne Rice. She was my first teacher of all things of beauty and sex beyond the vanilla that's the mainstream. I did love "The Vampire Armand" and I love all the Vampire Chronicles. However "The Witching Hour" is my favorite. I love how detailed the history of the Mayfair family was given to us. I've also read her under her 2 pen names Anne Rampling and A.N. Roquelaure. I highly recommend the Sleeping Beauty series for anyone interested in writing slash. :D
Yes it's a movie that came out a few years back. Sean Connery, Stuart Townsend are the only 2 off the top of my head that I can think of. But it's an action type movie and it's pretty good. You should watch it if you get the chance.
I've never heard that Anne Rice has other pennames or about The witching hour or the Sleeping Beauty...sounds like that last one is about a woman LOL THANKS!!!! My next book I was going to read was Bram Stockers Dracula, though...even though my sis said it was nothing like the movie. Did you read that too?
OMG you really need to get these books!!!! I didn't read Bram Stokers Dracula yet but will eventually. but here is my suggestion to you. I really think that before you get into that you REALLY need to read the Sleeping Beauty series. I'm telling you it's just all slashy goodness before most people even knew what slash was :D. There are 3 books in that series. The first one is called "The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty" (the title alone should get you) the next is "Beauty's Punishment" and the third is "Beauty's Release"and these are all written under A.N. Roquelare. When you're done those you should pick up "Exit to Eden" under her name Anne Rampling. And then if you want something really deep and extensive read the "Witching Hour". It's about 1000 pages but it's absolutely brilliant.
Right. My bad I used the wrong term I think. It's mostly Gen with slashy goodness thrown in. And some BDSM for good measure. I forget all the details since it's been a while since I've read the books. I just know that they are well well worth the read.
Thanks Gina for the clarification! They are on my list anyway ;) I do have "the Mummy" and Memnoch the devil. I haven't read them yet. I hope they are worth the read as well!
The Mummy was a good read and definelty worth it. I don't know that it was one of her better books but it's good. And Memnoch is definely worth the read since the conversations between God and the devil really get your mind going. But I'm glad to hear that you're going to read the Beauty series they really are amazing.
